No Spl Rights For MPs To Attend House, NIA Tells Court On Rashid

Parliamentarians have no special right to attend House proceedings while in detention, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) told a Delhi court on Wednesday, opposing custody parole for incarcerated Jammu and Kashmir MP Engineer Rashid.
NEW DELHI: The agency argued that Rashid's plea to participate in parliamentary sessions solely to raise issues of his constituency was not a valid ground for parole.
