A 45-year-old man was charred to death after two school buses parked in Transport Nagar area of Sector 69, Noida, were engulfed in a blaze on the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday, said police, adding a suspected short-circuit in a battery may have sparked the fire.

Police identified the deceased as Ram Naresh, a bus conductor of a private school bus.
