HC Rejects M3M Plea to Take Back Plea for Quashing FIR

The Punjab and Haryana high court on Tuesday rejected realty group M3M director Roop Bansal's request to withdraw a petition seeking quashing of an FIR filed by the Haryana anti-corruption bureau in April 2023 against him, his nephew and M3M official Ajay Parmar, and CBI court judge Sudhir Parmar.
CHANDIGARH: The Punjab and Haryana high court on Tuesday rejected realty group M3M director Roop Bansal's request to withdraw a petition seeking quashing of an FIR filed by the Haryana anti-corruption bureau in April 2023 against him, his nephew and M3M official Ajay Parmar, and CBI court judge Sudhir Parmar.
Appearing for Bansal, senior advocate Abhishek Manu Singhvi argued, "When an accused has the right to file a petition, he should also have the right to withdraw it."
