35-yr-old rapes friend’s daughter in UP, arrested

LUCKNOW: Police arrested a 35-year-old man on Saturday for allegedly raping his friend’s five-year-old daughter in Lucknow’s Indira Nagar, police said.
The accused was booked for rape and under the relevant sections of the POCSO Act.
According to the police complaint, the accused and the girl's father consumed alcohol together around 8 pm Thursday at the latter's house. Later, the accused took the girl with him under the pretext of buying candy and then raped at a secluded spot.
