The 12 Doctors Were Suspended For Negligence After a Woman Died and Four Others Fell Ill After Childbirth at the Hospital
KOLKATA: The West Bengal Police have invoked charges of culpable homicide against 12 doctors of Midnapore Medical College and Hospital, including its medical superintendent and vice-principal, who were suspended for negligence following the death of a woman and four others falling ill after childbirth at the state-run hospital last week, officers said on Saturday.
Police said that a first information report (FIR) has been registered against the 12 doctors—including six junior medics—at the Kotwali police station.
