Shah takes stock of rain damage, offers support

Union home minister Amit Shah on Friday spoke with Uttarakhand chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami to take stock of the heavy rainfall and related incidents across the state.
He assured Dhami that the central emergency relief agencies — the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) — were being deployed promptly to ensure the Char Dham Yatra remains uninterrupted and that pilgrims do not face any inconvenience.
Sharing the update on X, CM Dhami said, "Hon'ble Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah took a detailed update over the phone regarding the ongoing heavy rainfall in Shri Kedarnath Dham and other disaster-prone areas of the state. Considering the seriousness of the situation, he assured that central emergency relief agencies such as the NDRF and ITBP are being deployed promptly to ensure that the Char Dham Yatra continues smoothly, and devotees do not face any inconvenience in their travel."
