PATNA: Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) chief Mukesh Sahani (45) has emerged asa key player in Bihar's politically charged landscape, becoming a crucial ally for major coalitions.
The Bollywood technician-turned-politician, in his little over a decade-long political career, has emerged as a hard bargainer and has made his presence felt on the Bihar political scene. And it was quite natural for him to be elated on Thursday when the Opposition Grand Alliance, from which he had nearly walked off during seat-sharing negotiations, declared him as the bloc’s deputy chief minister face. “I have been waiting for this moment for three-and-a-half long years,” Sahani said.
