HEYOON: I try to write from a place hoping it will connect with a lot of people

A decade since her debut, singer HEYOON says her focus now is simply on "having fun". Her latest single Addicted is a deep house track, marking a creative leap as she turns composer, lyricist and even takes on production duties.

Rooted in the surreal world of REM sleep, Addicted explores seduction, ecstasy and downfall. "I try to write from a place hoping it'll connect with a lot of people. What's amazing about music is that once you share it with the world, people can relate to it through their own experiences. With Addicted, I just hope it makes people dance," she says.
