No major performance issues in vehicles using E20 petrol: Centre

The Centre on Wednesday told Parliament that vehicles have not shown any significant variations in performance or adverse impact on components from using 20% ethanol-blended petrol.
The Centre said this is based on an August 2025 response by the ministry of petroleum and natural gas, which administers the Ethanol Blending Program, even though vehicles sold prior to April 1, 2023, were only compliant with E10 (10% blended fuel).
