Woman gang-raped in empty train coach, thrown off, loses leg

ROHTAK : A 35-year-old woman was allegedly gang-raped in an empty compartment of a stationary train in Panipat city of Haryana, police officers aware of the matter said on Monday.
“On June 26, the woman's husband filed a missing persons complaint, claiming that she had been missing since June 24 after they had a quarrel. He said he didn’t worry initially since this has happened before, and she would always return on her own,” said an officer privy to the matter.
Based on the husband's complaint, police launched a search operation and found her on railway tracks near Hindu College in Sonepat on the night of June 26.
