A letter, purportedly written by senior Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader and Telangana state legislative council member Kalvakuntla Kavitha to her father and party president K Chandrasekhar Rao, questioning the party's soft-pedalling towards the Bharatiya Janata Party created ripples in the political circles on Thursday.

HYDERABAD:

In the hand-written letter, dated May 2, surfaced on social media groups on Thursday, Kavitha raised questions such as the party's stand on allying with the BJP and lack of a firm stand on the reservations to the Other Backward Classes (OBCs).

While Kavitha was away on her tour in the US, people close to her did not confirm whether she had indeed written such letter; and did not respond to calls and messages. A spokesperson close to KCR also refused to confirm but did not rule out the possibility of her writing the letter.
