Govt to Submit Final Report on Role of Ranya's IPS Stepfather

The government is expected to submit the final report on the involvement of senior Karnataka IPS officer Ramachandra Rao in the gold smuggling case involving his daughter Ranya Rao, additional chief secretary Gaurav Gupta confirmed on Monday.
BENGALURU:
Gupta, who is leading the probe, stated that the investigation was conducted thoroughly and without any external influence. He also noted that multiple individuals had been questioned in connection with the case.
"We are checking the final details of the report and hope to submit it soon. It was a thorough investigation; no one needs to feel under pressure... 10-15 people were questioned..." Gupta said. "We have inquired with several people associated with the movement," he added.
