‘Opposition should cooperate instead of walking out every time’

ROHTAK: As the 18th Lok Sabha completes its first year, here's a look at third-time BJP MP Dharambir Singh's performance in the lower house of the Parliament and plan for the next four years. Singh, a Jat leader shifted to the BJP from Congress ahead of the 2014 General polls and he has been undefeatable in the last three polls.

How would you describe your first-year experience?

I am a third-time Member of Parliament and since 2014, I have been working round the clock to bring new projects in my constituency. The majority of people in my constituency reside in villages and our primary focus is to ensure access to safe drinking water and adequate water for irrigation. I want farmers of my area to get Rs 10,000 per quintal for their mustard crop, Rs 5,000 per quintal for bajra and good prices for pulses.I want to bring industries here so that youth can get jobs. My entire constituency has been connected with the best road infrastructure.

What was the high point of the year for you personally or your party in the House?
