NEW DELHI: Former Union minister Anurag Thakur on Wednesday claimed that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will secure a two-thirds majority in the upcoming Delhi assembly election, alleging that voters have seen through the "excuse-maker and anti-woman" stance of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).
Thakur accused the AAP of sidelining women leaders, citing alleged incidents involving Swati Maliwal and Atishi.
He asserted that the BJP will field an honest candidate with a clean image to lead the state. "The BJP is in the hearts of the people. Delhi wants change, and the BJP will deliver," he told news agency PTI in an interview.
Thakur assured that a BJP-led government would continue popular welfare schemes, including free bus services, water, and electricity.
