Fans might need to be patient as Wotton begins summer rebuild

THIS won't be like last summer when Paul Wotton had to throw together a team that would be good enough to compete in the National League South in quick time. This summer he will have time to be more patient, consider his choices more keenly, and take his time to get things right.
Not that he got much wrong last summer. Once he was able to sign players, they came at a rare old rate. Having only one player Austen Booth on the books, Wotton needed to get the numbers in to be ready for the first week of August. He will have had a list of players he wanted but he was never going to get them all.
More came in during the season Jordan Young, Dylan Morgan and Matt Jay and now Torquay United is a different proposition for targeted players, some of those players near the top of the list that were wary last summer might well be ready to make the move.
One player keen on coming was the man who became Wotton's first new signing of this summer Zim-babwean midfielder Munashe Sundire, who is happy for us to call him Nash or Nashy. The Torquay website says the 28-year-old is "a versatile and energetic central midfielder who can also operate at full-back. [He] boasts a wealth of experience at this level and above, having also represented the likes of Hemel Hempstead Town, St Albans, King's Lynn Town and Slough Town.
