TORQUAY United co-chairman Michael Westcott says this pre-season feels “radically different” from the last - and is a lot calmer than the last!

- by RICHARD HUGHES

Westcott and the Bryn Consortium were walking into unknown territory this time last year, after taking over a club in administration. But now, with manager Paul Wotton preparing for his second season with the club as well, Westcott says the board is “eyes wide open” after “flying a bit blind”.

Westcott watched training for the first time on Monday, after returning to Devon following a family holiday, and he said the atmosphere was good, and the “lads from last season feel there is unfinished business”.

After missing out on promotion from the National League South, there have been changes, with five players - Manache Sundire, Louis Dennis, Callum Dolan, Sonny Fish and Jordan Thomas - all coming into the squad.
