Hartlepool first: Why I can't vote for cuts to disability help

I asked my wife to marry me on the viewing platform at the top of Christchurch, overlooking Hartlepool.

Why? Because in that most special moment, I wanted us to be surrounded by the town we both love.

When you grow up somewhere, meet your partner there and raise your family there, it becomes part of who you are.

That's how I feel about Hartlepool.

My favourite moment of the week is definitely stepping off the train from Westminster, back home.

For me, being an MP isn't a job-it's a calling. Representing Hartlepool is the honour of my life, and it's why I always put our town first.
