Vijayan under fire for bringing family at meet

Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has drawn fire from the opposition for taking his wife, daughter and grandson to an official meeting.
He met with ministers and officials of the Vizhinjam International Port last week to review the arrangements for its inauguration this week.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will officially open the already operational port on Friday, and authorities have made elaborate arrangements for the high-profile visit.
Senior Congress party leader and former state home minister, Ramesh Chennithala, termed it “a grave mistake” on Vijayan's part.
“The chief minister's inclusion of his wife, daughter, and grandson in the Vizhinjam port review meeting is highly insulting and condemnable. The state government is not Pinarayi Vijayan's business,” he said.
