Sharjah came close to grabbing an early lead in the fifth minute when Guilherme Sucigan unleashed a powerful shot that rattled the cross-bar, leaving the home fans in disbelief. However, Shabab Al Ahli wasted no time responding and took control of the match.
In the lth minute, Renan Victor DaSilva broke the deadlock with a precise header after a well-delivered free-kick from Fede Cartabia. The goal silenced the Sharjah crowd and gave Shabab Al Ahli a crucial early advantage.
