PML-N sought PPP's backing for 27th Amendment: Bilawal

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said on Monday that a Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) delegation led by Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif met President Asif Ali Zardari and him, seeking their support for the approval of the 27th Constitutional Amendment that the federal government wants to pass in the parliament.
Bilawal made the comments in a post on social media platform X, where he also outlined the features comprising the proposed amendment.
He said that the official proposal included setting up a constitutional court, restoring executive magistrates and the matter of transfer of judges. It also included the end of safeguards for the provincial share under the National Finance Commission (NFC) and amendments to Article 243 of the Constitution, which pertains to the command of armed forces.
