McGann stars as Ireland thrash hapless Italy in Six Nations tie

PARIS: Anna McGann scored a hat-trick of tries as Ireland ended their Six Nations detects to Italy in terrific style on Sunday, thrashing the Italians 54-12 in Parma.

Ireland’s first away win in the competition since 2018 featured eight tries and lifted them to third in the table after some mature.

The Italians have yet to accrue a point and are rooted to the bottom.

England and France had posted emphatic victories on Saturday - over Wales and Scotland respectively - to peg an on course for a mouth-watering Grand Slam decider climax on April 26 at Twickenham.
