Kerala investment meet projects have started: Minister

Dozens of projects, representing a cumulative investment of Rs 314.29 billion, have officially commenced in Kerala following the Invest Kerala Global Summit (IKGS) held in Kochi this year, according to P Rajeev, the state's minister for industries.
"We received 494 investment projects with a combined value of Rs 1.78 trillion during and after the IKGS," he said in a statement on Sunday.
"Notably, 20.28 per cent of these projectsapproximately 86 initiatives-have already commenced, indicating a robust response from investors."
He said these projects are expected to create around 40,439 jobs, significantly contributing to the state’s employment landscape.
Of the proposals received, 156 are currently in the process of acquiring land, while 268 projects have successfully secured land for development.
