Kerala Congress in dilemma over tainted MLA's fate

Kerala's Congress party is riding the horns of a dilemma with the clamour for the resignation of Rahul Mamkootathil, who is facing serious allegations of sexual harassment from more than four victims, as legislator is intensifying with passing of every day.

The tainted leader is putting up a bold face and even after quitting Youth Congress president post and apologising to party for his misdemeanor, he has refused to quit as MLA.

Despite denials by party and his colleagues, Rahul was likely to put in his papers, according to reports.

Senior party leaders, including Opposition Leader VD Satheesan, Ramesh Chennithala, VM Sudheeran, K Muralidharan, Uma Thomas MLA and Shanimol Usman have publicly called for his resignation as MLA.
