Kalba stun Al Jazira, Al Wasl down Al Bataeh

Kalba returned to winning ways with a hard-fought 2-1 win over Al Jazira at Mohammed Bin Zayed Stadium in Matchweek 22 of the ADNOC Pro League.

The win ended a six-match winless streak and gave Kalba a vital three points away from home.

Al Jazira took the early lead in the 24th minute through Vinicius Mello, who fired a powerful shot into the net after a clever assist from Mohamed Elneny.

But Kalba stayed composed and struck at a crucial moment. In the final seconds of first-half stoppage time, Mehdi Ghayedi equalized, reacting quickly to a loose ball after a shot rebounded off the post to make it 1-1 going into the break.

The second half saw both sides trade attacking spells, but it was Kalba who made their moment count.

In the 86th minute, Ghayedi stepped up again, cutting inside and unleashing a stunning curling shot into the top corner, a goal that could go down as one of the best of the season.
