Group moves SC against Munambam land verdict

A Muslim group has filed a Special Leave Petition with the Supreme Court (SC), challenging the Kerala High Court's ruling that a property in Munambam is not Waqf land.
The Kerala Waqf Samrakshana Vedhi (KWSV) challenges a division bench’s approval of a one-member commission to assess the status of a large tract of property.
On October 10, the HC reversed a previous ruling that had halted the state's initiative to form the inquiry commission, led by retired Justice CN Ramachandran Nair.
The KWSV's petition argues that the division bench overstepped its jurisdiction by disregarding ongoing Waqf Tribunal proceedings.
