Firm ordered to pay car rental dues of Dhs85,399

The Abu Dhabi Commercial Court of First Instance ordered a company to pay a car rental office Dhs85,399 in a case involving nonpayment of rental fees.

The Court also ordered the company to pay interest on this sum at a rate of 3 per cent per annum from the date of the claim until full payment is made, along with fees and expenses.

The case dates back to the time when a car rental company filed a lawsuit against a customer who rented three vehicles and refused to pay the rental fee. The lawsuit demanded that the company pay Dhs85,399.91, plus 12 per cent interest from the date of the claim until the debt was settled in full.
