Famous comedian ‘Kodu’ passes away in Lahore

Renowned Pakistani stage and television actor Javed Kodu, widely recognised for his comedic talent and distinctive short stature, died early on Sunday after a long battle with illness.

Kodu laid to rest after his funeral prayers was offered later near his residence in Singhpura, Lahore.

The veteran performer — who dedicated more than four decades to the entertainment industry — leaves behind a legacy of laughter, resilience, and heartfelt performances.

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif expressed his grief over the demise of Kodu and prayed for the high ranks of the departed soul in paradise and for the bereaved family to bear the loss with equanimity.
