Dubai Police impound vehicle over reckless driving

The General Traffic Department of the Dubai Police impounded a vehicle after its driver endangered the life of a motorcyclist by swerving and attempting to hit him while driving recklessly on one of the emirate’s roads.

This incident clearly demonstrates a disregard for traffic laws and a lack of respect for the safety of others.

The Dubai Police explained that this dangerous behaviour constitutes a serious violation that endangers public safety and demonstrates the perpetrators' lack of awareness of traffic regulations.

They added that such behaviour could result in tragic accidents causing injuries or deaths, as well as disrupting traffic and endangering innocent lives.

They stated that driving a vehicle in a manner that endangers one's life or the lives, safety or security of others carries a fine of Dhs2,000, 23 traffic points and vehicle impoundment for 60 days.
