Determination of Al Wahda makes coach Morais proud

Head coach Jose Morais was delighted to see luck favour his Al Wahda FC after the side from the United Arab Emirates fought back to pickup a 2-1 win against PFC Nasaf in AFC Champions League Elite™ 2025/26 action on Monday.

Second half goals from Favour Ogbu and Caio Canedo turned the game around for Al Wahda as they moved onto IO points with Morais keen to point out that the game could have gone either way.

“The game was as difficult as we expected, but I'm satisfied with the result,” said Morais.

“Today's score is fair for some, not for others - this is the natural law of football. We didn’t lose confidence even when we were trailing IO.

“In the second half, the players showed very strong character. Acting accurately in two standard situations, we turned the result in our favor.
