Court orders company to pay employee Dhs197,000

The Abu Dhabi Labour Court - First Instance ordered a company to compensate an employee with an amount of Dhs197,600, as he had been working for the company since 2010, but the latter failed to pay his due monthly wages for 22 months intermittently throughout his employment period, and the company also did not provide him with an end-of-service gratuity or annual leave allowance.

In detail, an employee filed a lawsuit against the company he worked for after resorting to the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation committee.

He requested the company to pay him overdue wages for 22 months totaling Dhs144,000, an end-of-service gratuity of Dhs57,000, an annual leave allowance of Dhs8,000 and court expenses.
