Conflicting reports on Messi, Argentina visit to Kerala

There are conflicting reports on proposed visit by star footballer Lionel Messi and his national team Argentina to Kerala.
According to one report Messi and the Argentina national football team will not visit Kerala for exhibition matches as the state government and its sponsors failed to secure funding.
Following a new partnership with the Argentine Football Association (AFA) in March, HSBC announced a friendly match in October.
The British banking and financial services group signed a one-year partnership agreement and announced a match in Singapore early next year.
HSBC has branding and activation rights in both countries, offering its customers exclusive benefits such as match tickets, fan experiences, and opportunities for meet-and-greet sessions with the world champions.
