Using public WiFi could compromise your data

The UAE Cybersecurity Council has warned of the growing dangers of unsecured public WiFi networks after revealing that more than 12,000 breaches have been recorded nationwide since the start of 2025.

These incidents account for nearly 35 per cent of all cyberattacks reported in the UAE this year, underlining how hackers are increasingly exploiting open networks in cafes, airports and malls to steal passwords, banking details and other sensitive data.
