Turkey yesterday called on Israel to halt what it described as repeated violations of the US-backed ceasefire in Gaza and to allow unrestricted access for humanitarian aid.

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, speaking after a ministerial meeting in Istanbul attended by his counterparts from the UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Pakistan, Indonesia, said the group discussed the fragile truce and efforts to shape Gaza's postwar future.
