Golden Visa expanded to welcome more talented professionals in new key sectors

Long-term residency permit opens doors to nurses, teachers, gamers, yacht owners

The UAE is expanding its Golden Visa programme, now offering long-term residency to an even broader range of professionals and high-net-worth individuals. This move strengthens the country's commitment to retaining top talent and attracting experts in key sectors such as health care, education, technology, and luxury industries.

For long-serving nurses

On Monday, in line with International Nurses Day, the UAE announced a new Golden Visa category for nurses.

Under the directives of Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defence of the UAE, and Dubai Executive Council Chairman, long-serving nursing staff at Dubai Health are eligible for the 10-year visa.

To qualify, nurses must have served for more than 15 years.
