Abu Dhabi Police adopt comprehensive strategy to prevent abuse and addiction

Abu Dhabi Police is tackling the dangers of drugs by strengthening awareness and community engagement as part of a comprehensive national strategy.

Speaking to Gulf News, Maj Gen Ahmad Saif Bin Zaitoun Al Muhairi, Abu Dhabi Police Chief, emphasised that family is the first line of defence against the dangers of drugs.

In a statement marking International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, Al Muhairi said: "We operate under comprehensive strategies focused on awareness and education, in addition to enforcement and control. The safety of society begins with the awareness of its individuals."
