Evans issues a rally cry at Gas

Town are back on the road with not much time to rest as they travel southwest to face a relegation-threatened Bristol Rovers this afternoon.They could be walking into a cauldron of mixed emotions as Rovers boss Steve Evans has issued a rallying cry to supporters to get behind his team at home, with the club floating dangerously above the bottom two.

Both Newport County and Harrogate Town won in midweek to bring them both to within one win of third-from-bottom Rovers, who have lost three on the bounce.

Town have had their fair share of battles with Evans, who landed this job with the Gas two months ago, with David Artell and his team looking to close the gap to the playoffs and continue their long league unbeaten run.
