TURI REFLECTS ON HIS PROGRESS FROM HIS FIRST LEAGUE TWO CAMPAIGN
Geza David Turi savours Town's win over Man Utd
(JON CORKEN)
GEZA David Turi understands the challenges that face him in trying to make a name for himself in the English game with Grimsby Town, and he is doing his best to adapt.
The Faroese midfielder has had to be patient in waiting for a breakthrough with the Mariners since joining in the first month of this year, but more opportunities have come with time as he has settled into his new life on the Lincolnshire coast.
He confessed to the difficulties he faced early on in his time here, joining the club in the middle of last season from a vastly different football environment overseas. However, some unique experiences for both club and country on the pitch this term have helped him through.
"It’s been quite difficult just getting into the team because George [McEachran], Ev [Khouri], Greeny [Kieran Green] and Jamie Walker are all top players," Turi told The Football League Paper.
