We take a look at the activities you can enjoy at some of the National Trust locations in Gloucestershire

ACROSS Gloucestershire and the Cotswolds, National Trust places are alive with the promise of warm summer days, lazy weekend picnics and trips out with family and friends.

There’s lots going on this season, from outdoor theatre to exploring nature, archaeological digs, and much more.

Here’s just a taste of what you can enjoy..

Tour Mondays

There are free tour Mondays at Chedworth Roman Villa on various Mondays from June until August. See website for dates. The tours run from noon to 1pm; and 2pm-3pm.

Festival of Archaeology

Do you have the curiosity, patience and persistence to be an archaeologist?

Here's your chance to join in demonstrations, re-enactments and archaeological activities to find out. From July 19 to August 3, 10am to 4pm

Rare Roman Coin Display

Come and see some of the most important coins produced by the Roman Empire on July 19 and 26, from 11am to 3pm

Summer of Play

Experience the Ultimate Roman Adventure at Chedworth’s Summer of Play. This is a unique opportunity to play, learn, and create lasting memories.

This runs from August 4 to September 1, from 10am to 4.30pm.

Cleaning the Grand Dining Room Mosaic

Come and see how one of the finest mosaics in the country is preserved from July 21 to 31, 11am to 3pm

Nature tots at Old Lodge

Every Tuesday during July (excluding school holidays), from 10.45am to 11.45am, sessions will usually include a song, story, craft and a game.
