Modi-led Cabinet declares Delhi Red Fort explosion a 'Heinous Terror Incident'

Upon returning from his two-day visit to Bhutan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday afternoon visited the LNJP Hospital in New Delhi and met the survivors of the Red Fort blast.

After meeting the victims in the hopital, a key security meeting was chaired by PM Narendra Modi and attended by Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, among others. The Union Cabinet, which met at 7, Lok Kalyan Marg, observed a two-minute silence in honour of the victims before adopting a formal resolution condemning the attack. The blast near Delhi's Red Fort on November 10, is a "heinous terror inci-

dent", a high-level Cabinet Committee on Security observed.

Cabinet also passed a resolution condemning the recent terrorist explosion near the Red Fort in Delhi, reaffirming India's unwavering policy of zero tolerance towards terrorism. The government also took note of expressions of solidarity & support received from several countries.
