Each month, millions of Indian women rely on disposable sanitary pads for comfort and hygiene—often unaware of their environmental toll. Composed largely of plastic, each pad can take up to 800 years to decompose.

With an estimated 12.3 billion disposable pads discarded annually in India, the result is a growing ecological crisis: overflowing landfills, clogged water bodies, and toxic waste leaching into the soil and air. But amidst this mounting waste, a quiet revolution is unfolding in the villages of Sundarpura (Amer Tehsil) and Manpura (Chaksu Tehsil) in Jaipur district.
