Custodial death sparks protests, political uproar; cops transferred

A shocking incident at Jaipur's Sadar police station has triggered major administrative action and political reactions after a young man named Manish died by suicide while in police custody on Saturday evening.
Following the incident, Deputy Commissioner of Police (West), Amit Kumar, took swift action, transferring Sadar Station House Officer Devendra Pratap, Sub-Inspector Nirma Poonia, Head Constable Subhash, and Constables Naresh and Dilip to police lines. The case has now been handed over for investigation to ACP Chomu, Ashok Chauhan.
