A right time to invest during the dip

While US President Trump has extended the tariff deadline to 1 August, his administration has also shared information on new tariffs imposed on certain countries. In response, some of these countries have announced retaliatory measures. The stock market is interpreting this as a trade war scenario, resulting in a decline. Additionally, the restrictions imposed by SEBI on Jane Street Group may impact foreign investors, contributing further to market weakness.

This week, unemployment figures are due to be released in the United States. If they turn out to be negative, global stock markets could face further pressure. However, such a downturn could also present a valuable opportunity for investors to consider fresh investments in fundamentally strong stocks. I believe that no position in the stock market is permanent—every rally is followed by a correction, and every fall is followed by a recovery. Investors should always keep this in mind.
