IndiGo woos rival pilots with bonus up to ₹50 lakhs, Esops

BUDGET CARRIER INDIGO is offering Captains and First Officers, willing to join the organisationby February 10,massive joining bonuses up to ₹50 lakhs, along with contracts which guarantee flying hours, favourable home bases and Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOPs) in an attempt to meet the Directorate General of Civil Aviation's (DGCA) Flight Duty Time Limitations (FDTL) norms.
"IndiGo has reached out to many pilots in rival airlines and has offered to compensate them to break their current bonds if they can join before the February 10th deadline. Compensation in the range of ₹20-50 lakhs is being offered to many senior pilots in India,"a senior executive from a domestic carrier told FE.
