HCLTech arm to acquire Jaspersoft for ₹2,100 cr

HCLSOFTWARE, A SUBSIDIARY of HCLTech, has announced the acquisition of Jaspersoft from Cloud Software Group in an all-cash deal valued at $240 million (around ₹2,100 crore) to strengthen its data and AI software portfolio & expand its embedded analytics capabilities.
The transaction, structured as an asset carve-out, will see Jaspersoft become part of Actian, HCLSoftware's Data & AI division, the IT major said in an exchange filing.
The acquisition is expected to close within six months of signing, subject to regulatory approvals across multiple jurisdictions.
HCLSOFTWARE ALSO ANNOUNCED the acquisition of Wobby, an early-stage AI data analyst agents startup based in Belgium, for ₹4.5 million (around 40 crore) in an all-cash deal.
