Sensex can hit 100,000 pts in a year: Morgan Stanley

CORRECTIONS IN THE Indian equities market from September 2024 highs present an opportunity to invest in the country's long-term growth story, global brokerage Morgan Stanley said in its latest outlook.

It has given a new target of 89,000 points for the Sensex by June 2026 in its base case scenario.

In the bull case scenario, the probability of which stands at 30%, the brokerage said, the BSE benchmark can hit 100,000.

In the bear case scenario, which has 20% probability, the Sensex may slump to 70,000.
