New Tata Digital CEO has a challenge on his hands

WHEN HE JOINS Tata Digital as chief executive on September 1, Sajith Sivanandan will have his work cut out for him.
The response to the company's super app Tata Neu, conceived as a one-stop platform to unify the Group's many consumer-facing businesses — has so far been underwhelming.
The app forces users into separate carts and checkouts for different categories; that contradicts the proposition of a "one stop solution", say experts. Streamlining the product to ease the customer journey will be his top priority, say those in the know. Sivanandan's mandate will also include an overhaul of the organisation and better integration across the Group's various brands.
Queries sent to Tata Digital remained unanswered until press time.
