INDIA'S IT SERVICES sector may face indirect headwinds from the reciprocal tariffs imposed by the US, as analysts warn of potential disruptions in economic growth and technology spending across key verticals such as manufacturing, logistics, and retail.
While the tariffs primarily target manufacturing, they could increase costs for US businesses, leading to budget cuts in large digital transformation projects—a critical revenue stream for Indian IT firms.
"While the IT sector is not directly impacted by Trump's tariff order, there may be indirect effects from slower GDP growth due to higher tariffs, which could dampen demand."
