Govt Keeping Close Watch on Trade Diversion

TO MONITOR THE impact of trade diversion happening around the world after the US tariff action and the harmful impact it might have on the domestic sector, a mechanism has been set up in the ministry of commerce, a senior official said on Tuesday.
"We have started monitoring the import surges and based on the surges we do regular monitoring within the department, we are also sending the surge reports to different ministries so that they can also monitor at their level and whenever we are finding any unusual surge, we are looking into it," commerce
