WHOLESALE DESPATCHES OF motorcycles and scooters by the country's top six manufacturers were muted in January compared with the year-ago period, following destocking efforts and dull demand for older models made in 2024.
Sales of two-wheelers clocked 1.44 million units in January, an increase of just 2.3% y-o-y. Demand continued to be driven by the rural market, where the growth was slightly ahead of that in the urban regions.
