GeM Gets Ready for Global Tenders

INDIA'S PUBLIC PROCUREMENT platform, Government e-Marketplace (GeM), will add a global tender enquiry feature to its portal by the end of the current financial year, as access to government contracts is opened to countries with which trade agreements have been finalized or are under negotiation.

"We are adding the global tender enquiry feature...(as) a lot of trade talks are happening, so this functionality is relevant," GeM CEO Mihir Kumar said.
